Help Your Picky Eater Learn to Like New Foods

Playful Eats is designed to help children aged 0-8 improve eating habits and expand their diet, whether you have a new eater, a picky toddler, or an older child.

In-App Games, Books, Songs, and More

Expanding your child’s diet starts before the food is in front of them at the table. Keep your child engaged in stress-free food learning through our kid-friendly, in-app activities. Try: Poke It, Food Puzzles, Interactive Food-Themed Books, or get a catchy Food Song stuck in your head.

Learn from a Team of Pediatric Feeding Specialists

Based on the latest research, our team of speech, occupational therapy, and dietitian specialists have worked to create an achievable home program for you and your child.

Answer All Your Food Concerns

Is my child eating enough? How can I keep them at the table longer? Can I get them to eat more veggies (and do they need them)? Our feeding experts have all the answers for you. Our parent-friendly, interactive learning modules can be completed at your own pace, and address multiple learning styles with videos, images, and real-life scenarios.

Follow our guided Journey to gain knowledge on a wide range of topics, including: Staying at the Table, Veggies, Proteins, Magic Mealtime Words, Meal Timing, Reducing Mealtime Stress, and Sensory Components of Eating.

Real-Life Food Activities

Apply your learning with guided food activities to try daily with your child. Build carrot castles and broccoli forests, take your tomatoes swimming, and score apple goals. Making new foods fun puts your child on a stress-free path toward getting ready to taste these new foods.

Choose target foods in our Food Library, then use our visual guides to progress through increasingly challenging activities to Observe, Engage, Touch, Taste, and eventually Eat new foods.

Kid-Friendly Recipes

Keep your child involved in the kitchen with our kid-friendly, visual recipes. Playful Eats recipes give you “grownup steps” for you to follow, and “kid steps” for your child to follow, all while making easy and fun foods your child will want to eat.

Structured Eating Practice

Want to help your child learn to like new foods, but not quite sure where to start? Are strategies like feeding your child, running after them with a spoon, or bribing for bites getting old? With the Playful Eats 4 step system of Exchange, Expose, Explore, and Expand, you’ll learn exactly where to go next to help your picky eater.

Track Progress and Enhance Your Eating Experience

Playful Eats includes tons of supplemental features to keep you and your child having fun with food. Check out our Food Tracker to watch your child’s progress with target foods over time. Use the Visual Scheduler to add structure to mealtimes, help your child understand mealtime expectations, and stay at the table longer. Check out your Toolbox for visuals and reminders to use at mealtimes and when problems arise. Explore our Sensory Play Bonus activities for additional fun preparation for eating more foods, just like in pediatric feeding therapy.

Very organized setup. I am just signing up, and this has been one of the few apps that seems clear and actually helpful to assist with ensuring children receive recommended needs. I also like the way that it encourages the children to take part. Someone developed this knowing what they were doing.

I didn't have any funds for this app but am desperate for some help and was very happy and surprised to have my financial assistance application accepted so quickly. I'm very grateful for that. I have just gotten started so I can't say touch as to if the methods work well or not yet. But, I'm very hopeful as what I have read so far does make a lot of sense and actually I did notice that after learning and implementing the first lesson about not pressuring them, he actually finished his plate!

this app has been super informative already, I've only used it a little bit so far. They also have a hardship program where if you are unable to afford the premium you can apply to get it for free which is absolutely wonderful! having an autistic child with ARFID, Im hopeful this app will assist me in helping my child make healthier food choices!
